Overview

About the Unitree H2 Dedicated NVIDIA Jetson AGX Thor Computing Board

The Unitree H2 Jetson AGX Thor Computing Board is the board the H2's development architecture was drawn around: Unitree's dedicated NVIDIA Jetson Thor (T5000) assembly for the PC3 position — the slot the official H2 developer documentation assigns to Thor by name. It mounts inside the robot's chassis and brings up to 2,070 TOPS of onboard AI compute to the H2 family, the top of the four boards the robot's development slots accept.

It is the board for the work the rest of the H2 compute family has to compromise on. Vision-language-action models and foundation-model policies that will not fit on an AGX Orin module stay resident on the robot; several high-resolution camera streams fuse at full frame rate while a learned policy runs alongside them; models trained in simulation deploy onto the same robot that collects the next round of data. No tethered workstation, no GPU box sharing a wireless link with the motion controller — the frontier model runs where the sensors are.

Unlike the AGX packs Unitree builds for the B2 and H1 families, and unlike the backplane dock that carries Jetson AGX Thor on the G1, this is not an external add-on: the Unitree H2 Jetson AGX Thor Computing Board is an internal assembly, sold as a single unit, that drops into the H2's own compute bay. Pair it with a Core i7 development unit for the x86 side of your stack, and the whole pipeline — perception, planning, embodied-AI inference — rides inside the chassis instead of across the bench.

Architecture

PC1 to PC4: The Slot Built for Thor

The H2's computing architecture is layered by position. PC1 is the motion-control computer — an Intel Core i5 reserved for the platform itself: locomotion, balance, housekeeping. Above it, the official H2 developer documentation provisions one to three development computing units for user code and maps each position to a class of board: the H2 EDU leaves the factory with a Core i7 development unit at PC2, the Jetson Orin NX module is designated for PC4, and PC3 — the AGX-class position — is specified for the Jetson Thor (T5000) module. The Unitree H2 Jetson AGX Thor Computing Board is that PC3 unit.

Fitting PC3 also changes what the robot's own connectors do. With the board installed, the H2's GMSL video input goes live and routes to it, and the Type-C ports reserved for PC3 hand over to the new board — one of them adding DisplayPort 1.4 and USB PD 3.0 on top of its USB 3.0 host — so GMSL cameras, displays and peripherals plug into the robot and land on the Thor module directly. Unitree notes that modules may ship as newer versions with equivalent or higher performance between production runs; the quote we send confirms the exact unit in stock.

Thor, AGX Orin, Orin NX and i7 Are Tiers, Not Variants

The H2's development slots take four classes of board, and they are not interchangeable. The dedicated Intel Core i7 board is the x86 path — standard PC software and CPU-heavy processing. The Jetson Orin NX board is the entry CUDA tier: 100 TOPS with 16GB of memory. The AGX Orin board is the 275 TOPS tier with 64GB — enough for most perception and embodied-AI stacks running today. The Unitree H2 Jetson AGX Thor Computing Board is the frontier tier: up to 2,070 TOPS with 128GB of memory, for the moment a vision-language-action model outgrows 64GB, a large policy has to share the robot with full-rate multi-camera fusion, or a foundation model has to live on the robot instead of a tethered workstation. Match the board to the workload: PC software leans Core i7, lean GPU pipelines lean Orin NX, most perception stacks lean AGX Orin, frontier models lean Thor.

Compatibility

One Board for the H2 and the H2 EDU

The Unitree H2 Jetson AGX Thor Computing Board fits the whole H2 family: the standard H2 and the H2 EDU reserve the same internal development positions, and the PC3 slot is present on either robot. On both it is an addition rather than a replacement — neither leaves the factory with a module in PC3 — so the board brings CUDA compute the robot does not ship with, in the same slot on every H2.

If you are specifying a new robot rather than upgrading one you own, the H2 Plus is the configuration built around Jetson Thor onboard compute. And the board is not interchangeable with the AGX hardware on other Unitree robots: the G1 carries Jetson AGX Thor on an external backplane dock, and the B2 and H1 families take external AGX Orin packs on the robot's back. None of them cross-fit with the H2's internal board — related silicon, different robots, different parts.

Shipping, Quality Guarantee & Board Care

The board assembly contains no lithium cells, so it ships as standard express freight rather than battery-class cargo — worldwide via DHL or FedEx, with the transit time confirmed in your quote.

Every Unitree H2 Jetson AGX Thor Computing Board is 100% quality-inspected before it ships and packed as protected electronic cargo, so it arrives in perfect working order. From there it is an internal computer like any other — dry hands, gentle with the connectors, and if it ever comes out for service it goes back into the same PC3 slot.
