Genuine Unitree R1 battery — 6000mAh (199Wh) quick-release smart pack with 7-level BMS protection, fits R1, R1 AIR and R1 EDU.
The Unitree R1 battery is the genuine quick-release smart battery for the R1 humanoid: a 6000mAh (199Wh) lithium pack rated at DC 33.12V that delivers about an hour of operation per charge. It is the same pack every R1 ships with — R1, R1 AIR and R1 EDU all run this one battery, so there is no version split to cross-check.
Inside, a proprietary battery management system provides seven layers of protection: battery load detection, balanced charging, overcharge, charging temperature, charging current, short-circuit and over-discharge protection. The ultra-high-strength engineering plastic casing protects the cells from impact if the pack is ever dropped, and a charge level display shows remaining power at a glance.
With runtime in the one-hour class, most R1 owners carry a second pack. The quick-release design lets you swap a depleted Unitree R1 battery for a charged one in seconds without powering the robot down, so a spare effectively doubles an uninterrupted session — the most common add-on for labs, demos and development work.
This is the factory battery for every R1 variant: the R1, R1 AIR and R1 EDU — including the EDU's U1–U6 configurations — all share the same battery bay and connector, so one 6000mAh pack fits the whole lineup. There is only one R1 battery version, which keeps ordering simple: no capacity split, no connector variants.
The pack is quick-release, so rotating batteries mid-session takes seconds and does not require powering the robot down. A charged spare on the bench is all it takes to keep a demo, class or development session running.

The R1 runs about an hour on a single charge. Runtime depends on workload: continuous walking, running and manipulation draw more than standing demos or light development work, so plan around a range rather than a fixed number.
Because sessions often run longer than one pack, most labs and demo teams run two — one in the robot, one on the charger. With the quick-release design, a second Unitree R1 battery effectively doubles an uninterrupted session without changing how you work. The charger is a separate accessory; ask for it in your enquiry and we will quote both together.
We ship lithium batteries worldwide in UN38.3-compliant packaging via DHL or FedEx. Battery-only parcels travel as regulated air cargo, so delivery can take a few days longer than standard shipments; we confirm the exact transit time with your quote.
Every Unitree R1 battery is 100% quality-inspected before it ships, so it arrives in perfect working order. If you keep a spare in storage, the BMS automatically brings an unused pack down to a safe storage level, so the battery stays healthy between sessions.
